We all learn a few secrets along the way in home remodeling. One helpful trick we learned while working in Overland Park, on a bathroom remodeling project is to seal the slate before installing the tile. This is an extra step that requires additional time, but if this step is skipped your tile will have a haze that is nearly impossible to remove.  I have been in many new homes where the builder did not have their installer seal the slate. The tile is left with a light haze that changes the look of the tile and is almost impossible to get off. There is a product that removes the haze but it will require a lot of scrubbing. That is why we pre seal all slate tile when working on an Overland Park Bathroom Remodeling project.
